Read Hamlet last week (Shakespeare Can Be Fun version, though HB read a more complete version on her own) with the older three kiddos. They loved it. So much so, that I found them reenacting a scene just for fun. In their school uniforms (pajamas) and with The Boy's infamous armor.
Hamlet Act I, Scene Four
"I'll call thee King, father, royal Dane, explain why you have come. What do you wish to gain?""I will not speak then, I will follow it."
Have I mentioned how much I like homeschooling? This moment sure was nice. I'll have to remember it during more trying moments.
Acting out Shakespeare without being told to do so. For fun. Not bad. Not bad.
